Pearson Separation offer a range of adjustable star screening machines, specifically designed for the separation of 'fines'.
'Fines' from road sweepings are traditionally destined for landfill, but this new system of screening enables the 'fines' to be cleaned up and either sold on or blended with other materials such as top-soil or compost, or used in the manufacture of cement.
The action of the star bed creates an active separation area, so that the material is worked through constantly. This action also self-cleans the stars preventing blockages, particularly with the wet materials commonly discharged from road sweepers.
